Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Bible On Your Feed ("the app," "we," "our," or "us") is an iPhone app that presents Bible discoveries, such as connections between passages, historical context and the meaning of Hebrew and Greek words, in a swipeable feed.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. The party responsible for your personal information (the "data controller") is:

2. Information we collect

2.1 Using the app without an account

You do not need an account to use the app. The first time you open it, we automatically create an anonymous session identified by a random user ID. This ID is not linked to your name, email or device identifiers. It lets us save your activity (described in 2.3) so the app works as expected.

2.2 Account information (optional)

If you choose to create an account, we collect:

• Your email address.
• Your password, stored only in encrypted (hashed) form. We cannot see your password.

Creating an account keeps the same user ID, so your activity moves with you and can be restored if you sign in on another iPhone.

2.3 Your activity in the app

To run the feed and your collection, we store, linked to your user ID:

• The discoveries you have opened, when you opened them, and whether you opened them from the feed or from Explore. This is what unlocks your collection in Explore and prevents the feed from showing you the same discovery twice.
• The discoveries you have liked.
• How many discoveries you have used each day, to apply the daily limit.
• The discovery currently in your feed and the next one reserved for you.

2.4 Searches

When you search in Explore, the words you type are sent to our servers to find matching discoveries. We do not store your searches.

2.5 Time zone and last visit

When you open the app, it sends your device's time zone setting (for example, "America/New_York") so your daily discoveries reset at midnight where you are. A time zone is not your location, and we do not collect your location. We also record the date you last opened the app, which we use only to delete inactive anonymous sessions (see Section 8).

2.6 Information that stays on your iPhone

Some information is stored only on your device and is never sent to us: your appearance setting (light, dark or system), whether you have seen the introduction screens, your daily reminder settings, and a local record of finished discoveries used to decide when to show Apple's rating prompt. Your device also keeps a sign-in token so your session stays active.

2.7 Technical information

When the app connects to our servers, our infrastructure provider automatically records basic technical information, such as your IP address and the date and time of each request. Our sign-in system also keeps, with your session, the IP address and device type (for example, iPhone and iOS version) from which the session was created or last refreshed. We use this information only for security, abuse prevention and keeping the service running.

2.8 What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone input, health data, browsing history, advertising identifier or payment information. The app has no ads, no in-app purchases, and no analytics or advertising tools.

3. How we use your information

We use your information only to:

• Run the feed: choose your next discovery, apply the daily limit and avoid repeats.
• Keep your collection in Explore and remember your likes.
• Create and manage your account, if you create one, and process account deletion.
• Delete inactive anonymous sessions.
• Understand, in aggregate, which discoveries people like, so we can decide what to create next.
• Respond to your support requests.
• Protect the security of the service and comply with legal obligations.

We do not send marketing emails, we do not profile you for advertising, and we will not use your information for any new purpose without first asking for your consent.

4. Legal bases

Where laws such as Brazil's LGPD, the GDPR or the UK GDPR apply, we process your information on the basis of:

• Performance of a contract: providing the app and your account as described in our Terms of Use.
• Legitimate interests: security, abuse prevention and understanding which content is useful, in ways you would reasonably expect.
• Consent: notifications, which you can turn on or off at any time.
• Legal obligation: when the law requires us to keep or disclose information.

5. Service providers

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the providers below, who may use it only to provide their services to us and must protect it in line with this policy:

We use artificial intelligence tools to help create the images and videos in the app. Those tools never receive any information about you.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

6. Reminders and notifications

Daily reminders are optional. The app asks for permission only when you tap "Remind me when new ones arrive" or turn on Daily reminder in Account. Reminders are scheduled locally on your iPhone; their content is never sent through our servers. You can turn them off in the app under Account, or in your iPhone Settings.

7. Ratings and sharing

The app may ask Apple to show its standard rating prompt. Ratings and reviews are handled by Apple, and we do not receive your identity from them.

When you share a discovery, the app opens your iPhone's share sheet. What you share goes to the app or person you choose and is governed by their policies. We do not receive the content of what you share or who you share it with.

8. How long we keep information

• Accounts: kept for as long as your account exists.
• Anonymous sessions (no account): if you do not open the app for 3 months, the session and all of its activity are deleted automatically.
• After you delete your account: your account and all of its data are permanently deleted from our active systems within 25 hours of your request.
• Backups: deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 7 days before it is removed automatically.
• Technical logs: kept for up to 7 days.
• Session records (IP address and device type): kept while the session is active and deleted together with your session or account.

9. Deleting your data

With an account: open the app and go to Account > Delete account. You are signed out right away, and your account, likes and collection are permanently deleted within 25 hours, as described in Section 8.

Without an account: email us at gabriel@gripdigital.com.br with the ID shown at the bottom of the Account screen, and we will delete your data. Deleting the app from your iPhone does not by itself erase the data on our servers, but it will be deleted automatically after 3 months without use.

10. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), store passwords only in hashed form, and apply database access rules that allow each user to reach only their own data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities of a security incident where the law requires it.

11. International transfers

The app is operated from Brazil, and our main data provider stores information in the United States. Where required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.

12. Your privacy rights

Everyone: you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and withdraw any consent, by emailing gabriel@gripdigital.com.br. We respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm the request from your account email or with your app ID.

United States residents: depending on your state, you may have the right to know, access, correct and delete your personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

EEA and UK residents: you also have the right to restrict or object to certain processing and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Brazil residents: your rights under the LGPD can be exercised through the email above, and you may also contact the ANPD.

13. Do Not Track

Because we do not track users across apps or websites, there is no tracking for us to turn off in response to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals.

14. Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date, and we will give reasonable notice of material changes when possible.
